
As you land more hits, your attacks can deal more damage, but if you get hit they will go back to normal. This could be implemented by a guage next to Quote's percent and portrait in a match. In the Cave Story the get more powerful as you level them up, but when you get hit, they lose some effectiveness. Quote can charge up to level 3 of his Spur and shoot it out like Samus' final smash or Robin's fully charged thunder.įor Quote's tilts, smashes, arials, and other standard attacks, he can use a combination of his Polar Star and the Blade like a standard Gunner or Swordfighter.Īlso, I mentioned the different levels of the weapons. He can shoot like Megaman shoots his Megabuster.įinal Smash: The Spur. This could work in a similar way to Megaman's leaf sheild. When the shoot button is released all of the bubbles are fired at high speeds. When this weapon is at level 3 in game, it creates a sheild like effect around Quote. It could work like ROB's Up B where if you tap it instead of hold the button, it will take you higher.ĭown B: Bubbline. This allows Quote to move vertically into the air. It can work like Samus' regular missile or maybe it can shoot multiple at a time like in game at level 3. It could be like Link's boomerang, except it doesn't come back, it just dissappears and you can use the attack again. I think level 2 will work best for Smash. This blade works several different ways in game at different levels.

Feel free to add your own thoughts as well. With that said this is my idea for his moveset. He has a large arsenal of weapons at his disposal that would make for an awesome moveset. I love Cave Story and I think Quote (and maybe Curly Brace as a pseudo echo fighter) would be a perfect addition to the game. SORRY FOR THE LONG POST, I PROMISE IT'S WORTH IT.
